2000 Cabernet-Shiraz

Made from 70% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 30% Shiraz mainly sourced from the Pyrenees Region. This wine was aged in a mixture of old and new oak for 18 months. This medium bodied wine has a beautiful floral nose with a hint of eucalyptus. The medium length palate releases subtle flavours of cherries, raspberries and blackberries ending in a hint of spices. A wonderful food wine which is drinking well now and will improve over the next 5 years.


2001 Shiraz-Cabernet
Top Silver Medal at le Concours des Vins Wine Show 2003

Made from 70% Shiraz and 30% Cabernet-Sauvignon which was entirely estate grown. It was aged for 2 years in a mixture of old French and new American oak. The colour is deep plum. The wine has a well rounded mouth feel with fine tannins balanced by fresh, clean acid. The nose is earthy with floral overtones ending in a hint of spice. The long palate exhibits a cascade of berry, cherry, plum and peppery flavours. This is a complex, full bodied wine that will improve for decades.


2001 "The Revolutionary's" Chardonnay

This wine was made from 100% Macedon Ranges fruit. It is a full bodied, rich textured food wine, typical of the hyper-oxidised method of wine making. On the nose it exhibits tropical fruit and spicy overtones. It has a silky mouth feel with a long, lingering palate. The palate exhibits good fruit with yeasty flavours, ending in a clean, acid finish. A wonderful and versatile food wine that will cellar for many years. This is a Chardonnay for red wine drinkers.
