Basalt Ridge
Basalt Ridge Wines is a newly established vineyard/winery situated in the premium cool climate Macedon Ranges Region high on the northern slopes of the Great Dividing Ranges at Malmsbury.The vineyard is planted to premium varieties, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Wines are made from estate-grown grapes as well as premium grapes from local vineyards.
2001 will be its first vintage and cellar door sales are expected in late 2001.
